About the Department

Within Neurochemistry, we conduct clinical routine operations, pharmaceutical and academic studies, as well as vibrant research. The laboratory is environmentally certified and accredited, with a strong emphasis on quality work, development of our operations, and the introduction of new analyses. The operations are conducted in close collaboration with the research activities and individuals employed at the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at the University of Gothenburg. Approximately 100 people work in the Neurochemistry facilities.

The Neurochemistry unit offers a stimulating work environment with good development opportunities. We provide a wide variety of laboratory tasks in close collaboration with all sections within the unit and the University of Gothenburg. We care about everyone's development and offer tasks based on competence and personal ambitions.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a laboratory employee with documented experience working safely with high accuracy. You will work with a broad spectrum of analyses for Alzheimer's disease, both commercial and self-developed for the diagnosis of degenerative brain diseases. The work includes sample handling, analysis, and evaluation of results for our neurochemical markers. The analyses are both semi-automated and manual.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a licensed biomedical analyst with documented good biochemical knowledge and laboratory experience. A prerequisite is that you can express yourself clearly in both spoken and written Swedish and English, as well as handle the Office suite.

Experience in laboratory work, good collaboration skills, the ability to work accurately and methodically, and an interest in development work are required for the tasks. Experience with clinical studies and handling immunochemical methods, as well as Lumipulse, Simoa, and Cobas instruments, is meritorious. We believe it is of significant importance that you are flexible and service-oriented, with well-developed social skills. We are seeking a person with an engaged and positive work approach, and great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
